Notes: A symbol of goodwill betwwen the citizens of Rome and Toronto, this antique column (Egypt,ca.300-400 A.D.) was presented to Mayor Nathan Phillips on his visit to Italy by the Mayor of Rome. It arrived in Toronto in 1957 and stayed at the Royal Ontario Museum until 1967.
