Notes Educated in Stuttgart, Munich and Italy. Emigrated to Canada with his family in 1886. Taught the first Interior Design course at the Central Ontario School of Art (now Ontario College of Art and Design). Was the first Interior Designer to be taken into membership of the Royal Canadian Academy. Brother of artist and sculptor Emanuel Hahn.

Notes: Originally called "Holwood" the mansion was built by Joseph Flavelle, president of the William Davies Co., forerunner of Canada Packers. Now functions as the centre of the University of Toronto's Faculty of Law. Law library was added in 1961 by Hart Massey with William J. McBain.
